Organizing schoolwork in the midst of chaos

Organizing schoolwork in the midst of chaos

In this COVID-19 era, it seems everything academic has moved online. Whether the platform is Blackboard, Microsoft Teams or Google Classroom, it’s easy to get overwhelmed or overlook an assignment completely.

Here are things that I do to keep myself organized while taking online and hybrid classes:

First, I print the syllabus for each class. Hard copies allow me to easily highlight, circle and do whatever is needed to keep up with dates.

I prefer blank a printable calendar to write on myself. This way I can personalize it and have enough space to write. There, I write down every important thing I need to remember for the semester, test dates, homework due dates, paper deadlines, etc.

Then, finally, for each class, I assign it a notebook and folder. Or you could also do a binder with dividers for each class, but I found this takes up too much space. I really benefit from one binder with all the notebooks in one place for easy access.

I hope these tips help keep you organized throughout this crazy semester.
