COVID-19 update: Reinfections and continued rise of cases

Hong Kong reported a 33-year-old man who had Coronavirus the second time this year. As of last Friday there are a total of four similar cases confirmed around the world. One of those are from Nevada, USA. A 25-year-old male was tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time 48 days after his recovery.

A study in South Korea indicated that children appear healthy, but could still spread the virus to others. Korea’s researchers’ study 91 children and only six had shown symptoms at the time of being diagnosed; asymptomatic children continued to test positive for 14 days after diagnosis.

Currently there are a total of more than 24 millions cases of COVID-19 around the world, with more than 800,000 deaths. The USA with a total of more than 6 millions COVID-19 cases, is still the number 1 country with the highest confirmed cases around the world.  As of last Friday, the USA just confirmed more than 46,000 new cases and more than 1,000 new deaths.
