Pacers couldn't net a win
The USC Aiken men’s basketball team lost its first home game of the season on Saturday, Nov. 16 to Florida Southern, with a final score of 96-80.
Sophomore Shaquan Jules led the team with a 20-point, 10-rebound performance and was one of five with double figures for the home team that night.
The other four players that had double figures for the home team were Xzavier Barmore, who had 14 points and five rebounds. Faison Brock tallied 13 points, while fellow teammate Gus Rowland accounted for 11 points and five assists, with Dhieu Deing chipping in 10 points.
During the second half, the Mocs slowly increased their points to double digits with the Pacers trailing behind, unable to pull back into the lead.
For the game, the Pacers hit 30 of 66 points from the floor, giving them a 45.5 percent, with the team netting 52 points in the paint. USCA held a 26-13 edge on the break, with the squad maintaining a 28-25 margin in bench points.
The Pacers will return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 20, when they will play Belmont Abbey at 7:30 p.m.
