Pacers fight, fall against Saint Leo in Sunday game

The USC Aiken men’s soccer team had their second home game of the season against Saint Leo on Sunday afternoon.

Saint Leo scored early in the game making it a 1-0 lead, with the pacers continuing to apply pressure through the first half.

USCA brought the heat the second half, keeping Saint Leo at bay. At 83:54 Marco Izurieta kicked home a loose ball into Saint Leo’s goal making it 2-1.

The Pacers tallied eight shots, including four on Saint Leo’s goal. Kenneth Kalek would play all 90 minutes of the action, stopping five shots at the Pacer goal.

Pacers will return to action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Pacer Pit, where they will play against Southern Wesleyan.
