“There are a lot of organizations that are looking to make connections with USC Aiken students… this is one of the best avenues for students,” Feraldi encourages.
Dr. Stacie Williams, the ACE Club faculty adviser, said that her aim is to make students feel welcome, whether they are ACE members or not.
Regardless of whether they want plots, trees, rocks or banners, the NPHC organizations feel that they are not being heard.
She revealed that her dedication and success are the result of years of experience, fighting barriers of racial and gender inequalities.
This year at USCA, 10 volunteers accepted the challenge, including Ahmed Samaha, Vice Chancellor of Student Life & Services, who participates yearly.
We must give them justice when they seek it, and must raise awareness on not only what has happened to them, but also to what is still happening to them this day.
Thanks to the Student Diversity office, I’ve learned more about Native Americans than ever before and I encourage my peers to attend their events and do the same!
