Pacers enjoy spooky night at the haunted hike

Starting at 8pm on October 30th 2018, USCA held a Haunted Hike as a part of the Fall Fest 2018 activities.

To participate in the estimated 15 minute trail located behind the Children’s Center, all one had to do was provide a canned good or a $1. Needless to say, the entry line was very long and some students even came dressed in wigs and other Halloween accessories. I could not help myself, and decided to experience the haunted hike for the second consecutive year.

We traveled as groups and entered the trail with our guide, who was armed with a flashlight and nothing more. We weaved and trotted through the trees, were startled by our fellow students wearing clown masks, and chased by artificial but realistic sounding chainsaws. We entered tents with dangling hands and even tripped over dismembered body parts buried in the soil.

For me, the creepiest ones were those who just stood in the shadows and followed you with their eyes… spooky! All in good fun and for a good cause, students shared laughs and startled yelps all night. The event was a sure success and was well organized.
