"Military Times" ranks USC Aiken in annual “Best for Vets” award

The USCA Office of Veteran and Military Student Success has once again been recognized for their outstanding efforts of transitioning our heroes into the swing of University life.

Ranking #74 in a list of 137 universities and colleges, with over 53% of militants having graduated.

The office opened on campus in 2013 and, as their mission says, “provides services and support to the veterans and military members of our country’s Armed Forces in their educational pursuits as they transition from their military service through the university to becoming vital community members.”

VMSS Student Services Coordinator and School Certifying Official Stephanie Williammee credited the staff’s dedication to smooth transitioning and continued success after service as the office’s driving factor behind their accomplishments.

Williammee, who is also military spouse and family member, exclaimed that she enjoys the one-on-one work and finds satisfaction in the impact made.

Veteran and military students hold 14% of the USCA student population, 130 students having enrolled in the Fall 2017 semester.

We applaud the office of Veteran and Military Student Success for their hard work and success!
