Cobra Song Review
Megan Thee Stallion's long anticipated single, "Cobra” was released on Nov. 3. “Cobra” is her first solo project since her notorious trial with rapper Tory Lanez.
In the song, she expresses vulnerability while delivering an exciting concept in the music video. She opens up about experiencing grief while at the peak of her career.
"Man, I miss my parents, way too anxious, always cancel my plans."
She also reveals the alleged reason for her split with songwriter Pardison Fontaine in the following lyrics:
"Pulled up, caught him cheating, getting his dick sucked in the same spot I'm sleeping."
At the beginning of the music video, she sheds cobra skin and emerges as a new entity. This action symbolizes that she is closing a painful chapter in her life and entering a new era.
I rate the song and music video a 10 out of 10. I like the visuals and her vulnerability while delivering a great song. The rock and roll guitar-type beat goes excellent with the lyrics.
