Valentines Day Recipe: Strawberry Cinnamon Roll Waffles

Valentines Day Recipe: Strawberry Cinnamon Roll Waffles

About a week ago I was grocery shopping and came across something that I’d never seen before. Pillsbury Grands. They’re a collaboration with Cinnabon so they’re bigger rolls and come with strawberry and cream-flavored icing. It’s been a trend for me lately to turn my cinnamon rolls into waffles so this is me continuing to experiment, this time for Valentine’s breakfast.

Ingredients Needed

  • Pillsbury Grands Cinnamon Rolls with Strawberry Cream Icing

  • Strawberries (if unavailable you can also use preserves)

  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cinnadust (if unavailable cinnamon and sugar are acceptable)

  • Waffle Maker (if unavailable a panini press is acceptable)

  • Butter or nonstick cooking spray

Directions

  • Coat your waffle maker/panini press in butter or cooking spray. This way, when your cinnamon rolls are finished baking they won’t stick to the appliance

  • Since the cinnamon rolls are bigger, depending on the size of your waffle maker, you’ll have to make these either in sets of two or one at a time

  • This next step is fully up to you. I let each cinnamon roll sit in the waffle maker for five minutes before removing it. If you feel they need more or less time this also works, just make sure you check on them often.

  • After all five “waffles” are complete, let them rest on a plate while you heat your glaze for 15 seconds in the microwave

  • For decoration, I sliced up a couple of strawberries and placed them on top before adding the icing on top

  • For extra decoration, you can add your Cinnadust on the top.
