Album Review with Isaiah: Harry's House
Many of you have heard some or all of Harry Styles’ new album “Harry’s House” which holds thirteen songs – each with that classic Harry feel to it. The one most likely to have been heard by you would be the song “As It Was” which plays on the radio frequently due to its passion and hype through the song.
Styles brings that upbeat and cheery version many know him for in his songs but takes a new spin on it to make it perfect for his home. Several songs bring in that feeling of love and longing where Styles talks about wanting someone, hinting towards a crush of his or a little tease to his fans. Styles is so known for that love in his voice that he sparks that emotional party to spark some fun.
One of my favorite songs in the album is the song “Matilda” because it takes a bit of a different turn from the rest of the album. It slows down a lot and focuses on someone else, wanting the best for someone and saying they deserve better. The song can serve as a lesson for others that you deserve better and are worthy of being treated right. It is the perfect song to lift your mood and feel better about who you are, another reason to love Harry Styles.
Another favorite song from this album is “Satellite” because of how it builds the love in the song. It starts off like that quiet love where it stays in the crush stage but as it builds up it is like this feeling you don’t want to hide. The song builds up even more to become this loud love where you don’t want to sit around and wait, love is this need to show and feel. The song works well overall because of how it categorizes love and works as a showing excellent craft on Harry Style’s part.
The last favorite to talk about is “As It Was” because it is the one many of you have heard if you listen to the radio. Styles brings this quick-paced song to the table where it makes you think about life and how it changes. Relationships change, friends come and go, and everything stays changing which is this feeling many of us may know as we move into college and see friends go elsewhere.
The album “Harry’s House” may be the first album review I have done, but I’m glad I got to do this because this album does a lot to show we all want and deserve that love Styles talks about and to think better of ourselves while trying to do the best we can.
