Dr. Nancy Albers named Dean of the School of Business Administration.
USC Aiken has named Dr. Nancy Albers Dean of the School of Business Administration (SOBA). Dr. Albers previously acted as a marketing professor and dean of the College of Business at Louisiana State University (LSU) for approximately six years. Albers has many years of experience after serving as dean of the School of Business at Pacific Lutheran University for three years, professor and chair of Marketing at Berry College for 10 years and staff at the University of North Texas and University of Houston for 10 and four years, respectively.
Albers led a 300% enrollment growth in the aforementioned College of Business at LSU and a 45% growth in undergraduate programs, according to USC Aiken’s Merit Pages announcement. She has also aided in establishing two graduate degrees, nine graduate concentrations, six graduate specializations, 10 undergraduate concentrations, multiple certificates and aided in the alignment of programs. She also has experience with fiscal management and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business accreditations.
Albers specialties include marketing research, international marketing, cross cultural values and ethics, pedagogy and career management, according to her LinkedIn profile. She received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Texas State University and her Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business.
Dr. Albers is set to take over the position on July 1, relieving Interim Dean Dr. Sanela Porca who has held the position for 18 months.
