Alum Daniel Nwachukwu set to make space flight
Daniel Nwachukwu, a USCA alum, has been selected for the Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship Program. Nwachukwu, who graduated in 2021, is in the process of his graduate program at Georgia Tech where he is currently studying aerospace engineering.
He was an active student during his time at USCA, as he was a Chancellor Ambassador and president of the Engineering Student Association, to name a few, and also interned for organizations like Savannah River Nuclear Solutions.
The program Nwachukwu was selected for aims to connect both undergraduate and graduate students with internships as well as a network in commercial spaceflight. Nwachukwu was chosen from a diligent academic pool of more than 200 applicants from over 90 colleges and universities all over the nation. Applicants were rigorously screened for academic excellence, relevant experience and, most importantly, a demonstrated passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and commercial space.
The Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship Program honors the accomplishments of engineer and space exploration enthusiast Matthew Isakowitz. The program looks for individuals that mirror the same drive and love for commercial spaceflight to improve humanity that Isakowitz exemplified.
