November Horoscope + What’s A Full Moon?

November Horoscope + What’s A Full Moon?

November houses the last half of Scorpio season and the first half of Sagittarius season. Since I already discussed Scorpios in last month’s horoscope, I’ll be getting into Sagittarius and doing a mini-lesson on full moons.

When speaking about moon phases involving astrology, the most mentioned are usually the new moon, first quarter, full moon and last quarter.

A full moon takes place when the sun is able to reflect its light in front of the moon and show it in its entirety. During this time emotions are at an all-time high and even if you don’t follow the phases, you’ll feel a difference.

Since this is such an intense time, there are things that you should refrain from doing during a full moon.

  • Have important conversations. Since emotions are at a high, it’s easier for arguments to begin and misunderstandings to arise. Save the conversation for later.

  • Cram your daily schedule. It’s easier for conflict to begin during this time. Be wary of overscheduling.

  • Make rash decisions.

This may make you wonder, what can I do during a full moon?

  • Meditate or take this time to learn how.

  • If you have any crystals, charge them.

  • Begin shadow work.

On Nov. 8 there will be a full moon and lunar eclipse in Taurus. In astrology, lunar eclipses represent change and transformation. This will be in combination with the high emotions and themes from the sign Taurus.

With Taurus being an earth sign, we will be feeling more grounded and in touch with ourselves, somewhat outweighing the energy of the new moon.

Nov. 22 kicks off Sagittarius season! This time of year is a favorite for many for not only Sagittarius being a top sign, but we’re getting to the more exciting holidays and the weather is getting preferable. Thanksgiving and the Christmas countdown are what we should be looking forward to!

As Sag season approaches, the energy shift will be felt in the air as surrounding signs pick up on the traits as we all do every season.

Stereotypical traits include: being inconsiderate of others and self-centered, blunt speakers, not understanding boundaries… but we have many boundaries, short tempered and clumsy

Stereotypical positive traits: good conversationalists, great at giving advice, optimistic and energetic, constantly wants to talk to people close to them

Sagittarius season will end Dec. 21, welcoming in Capricorn.
