Album Review - Around the World
Pentatonix is known for their songs that celebrate the holiday season and this album is a great cultivation for this year!
This album is great for us as we get into the holiday season due to the cheerful tones found. Holidays Around the World features several other artists that assist with different songs, showing that everyone is ready for this season!
The first notable song is their rendition of “Jingle Bells,” which features Lang Lang. The song takes a classic Pentatonix spin on the music as they change some things like the melody and tempo, but they make it work so well. There is such an amazing feature of their vocal and instrumental talents. This song is a good one to give a listen to once you feel it is time to get in that holiday mood.
“Star On Top” is another great song from this album that is one to check out when you get a chance. This song has this perfect mix of low and high as the melody creates this joy of Christmas. This song does feature a hint of love, pushing someone to be that star on top of the tree as if praising their existence. This song is great to listen to with that special someone this holiday season and to have that Christmas joy.
The album ends with “Silent Night”, a classic that most know, though their rendition features The King’s Singers. They keep true to the original in this song but still manage to shine in their own way with their vocals. This song is the one to give cold chills because of the skill of the group. Make sure to give Pentatonix’s “Silent Night” a listen this holiday season to experience it for yourself!
This album is held together very well by the skills of each member and the numerous guest singers featured. When you are ready for that holiday cheer, be sure to check out Holidays Around the World when you get ready to start celebrating and remember to enjoy these happy holidays!
