Column: When technology fails, students shouldn't

Moving to online classes was a rough transition, one that a lot of us weren’t prepared for.

Teachers are using websites like Turnitin, Blackboard and even Outlook email for students to submit work.

Sometimes, technology doesn’t work the way we need it to, and when that happens, students shouldn’t be held responsible for the technological error.

Points shouldn’t be deducted because of an error on the professor’s end.

The student shouldn't have to suffer for something that is completely out of their control.

This is a hard enough time without having to deal with lowered grades due to technical errors.
