Weekly Briefing: Brace yourselves, because finals are coming
No matter how windy, rainy and frigid the weather gets, nothing could chill the hearts of students more than the impending doom of finals week. Thanksgiving break is just around the corner, followed by our last full week of classes. While you ponder over the looming exam days, check out this week’s issue.
Lifestyle Editor Brianna Richbourg previewed Pi Gamma Mu’s donation drive for the Cumbee Center and the diversity initiatives’ alternative Thanksgiving event. She also drew up top ten lists for relaxation techniques and outdoor activities, respectively.
Sports Editor Michael Kuras wrote about the men’s basketball game, which ended in a loss to Florida Southern. He also put together a gallery for that game, as well as the cheerleading and dance squads.
Arts and Entertainment Editor Emma Watts created a chill playlist and wrote about the Phi Mu book drive.
The opinions section has three columns this issue from different editors. Copy Editor Taylor Drennen wrote about the university’s refund policy for unused or partially used meal plans, while I wrote about why I refuse to visit the White House.
News Editor Noelle Kriegel wrote her opinion on questionable conduct from USC Aiken professors, based on a poll from the student life page, messages from USC Aiken students and her own experience.
That’s it for this week, Pacers.
