Weekly Briefing: An issue to fill you with holiday cheer

Frigid winds are advancing, but it’s not just a sign of winter approaching. Finals are upon us and term papers are finally due—even the ones you haven’t started yet. Take a quick break, grab a snickerdoodle hot chocolate from Starbucks and scroll through our festive holiday issue.  

News Editor Noelle Kriegel covered the Holiday Fest that happened in the Student Activities Center on Monday, Dec. 2. She also wrote an article about the upcoming Penland building renovations that will start on Dec. 6.

Lifestyle Editor Brianna Richbourg characterized the astrological signs as Christmas characters and wrote horoscopes for this week. She made a list of inexpensive but meaningful holiday gifts and party games for your next winter kickback. She also wrote a column for the opinions section about why she thinks the December greeting “Happy Holidays” should be adopted by everyone. 

Arts and Entertainment Editor Emma Watts shared her favorite recipe for simple M&M cookies and created a playlist to bring holiday cheer to your study sessions.  

Finally, Sports Editor Michael Kuras wrote a farewell column for his final edition of Pacer Times, as he will unfortunately not be continuing with us next semester. You will be missed, Michael!
