Dorm Dash: Chicken Tenders with Loaded Fries
This is one of my go to meals when I run out of my favorite foods to eat. Chicken tenders are always so easy to make, take little to no effort and you don’t have to stand over your food while it cooks! I also never have to do extra grocery shopping to make this because I always have the ingredients on hand.
Ingredients Needed:
Chicken Tenderloins
Ground Beef
Frozen Fries (for this recipe I used Checkers fries)
Colby Jack Shredded Cheese
Canola Oil
Buttermilk
Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Texas Pete Hot Sauce
Zatarain’s Chicken Fry Mix
Supplies Needed:
Air Fryer
Pan (for frying)
Smaller pan to cook ground beef
Directions
Not to be controversial but I do wash my chicken before cooking it. So I wash my chicken, take off the extra skin and blood and put it into a clean bowl
After washing your chicken be sure to wash your hands thoroughly and clean all knobs or anything else in the sink that I may have touched.
After this step I season my chicken in the bowl using garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and Lawry’s seasoning
After everything is seasoned I add a cup of buttermilk into the bowl along with about two tablespoons of hot sauce.
Since I’m only making three tenders I’m able to bread and put it straight into my oil filled pan. The chicken tenders take about 5 minutes on each side to cook.
After washing my hands I put my fries into the air fryer and set the time and temperature according to the bag directions
While my fries are in the air fryer cooking I put about two ounces (measure two lines on the package) onto the pan and allow that to cook until brown. Afterwards I add a little bit of Lawry’s seasoning
Once the tenders are complete I put them on a napkin and let the grease come off while assembling my fries
I add the ground beef onto the fries and then add the shredded cheese
