This week’s edition of Pacer Times features Valentine’s Day pieces, along with relevant news and discourse.

Reporter Taylor Herndon reviewed recent CDC data and reports that COVID cases are down in the state and nation. In more lighthearted news, Editor Erin Weeks interviewed a USC Aiken student on their inspirational posts on the USC Aiken Student Life page and discussed personal trials and tribulations that spurred their positivity.

Alex Molina reviews another album, this week being “Black Country, New Roads,” “one of the most promising and extraordinary bands in music today.”

Pacer Times came together and made a playlist featuring each staff member’s favorite Valentine’s Day and romance songs. A link is embedded in the playlist image for those who would like to listen.

USC Aiken has had a string of successes this week in sports, with the League of Legends team kickstarting their seasons with two victories in one week. Men’s and Women’s Basketball was also covered in this week’s edition.

The Etherredge Center’s exhibit, featuring Naomi Falk’s artwork, is open to students to view and admire. Naomi Falk is an Assistant Professor of Sculpture at the University of South Carolina’s School of Visual Art and Design.
