Dorm Dash: California Roll bowl
Sushi is my favorite food of all time, and this easy recipe is a way to enjoy it at home without the hassle of having to actually roll sushi. You can substitute the protein in this California roll bowl for your favorite sushi grade fish or even shrimp tempura for a different twist. Measurements in this recipe really aren’t important, and you can customize it any way you like to turn it into your dream sushi roll bowl.
Ingredients:
Cooked, seasoned sushi rice (you can either cook it yourself or buy a 90 second microwavable sushi rice bag – I typically use a rice cooker)
Imitation crab
Cucumber
Avocado
Kewpie mayo
Sriracha
Seaweed snacks
Direction:
Shred your imitation crab. You can do this by hand or with a knife.
Chop your cucumber and avocado.
Place cooked rice in a bowl.
Top rice with shredded crab, cucumber and avocado.
Squeeze Kewpie mayo and sriracha over the top of your sushi bowl.
Enjoy by scooping a spoonful of your California roll bowl into your favorite seaweed snacks.
