E-Sports Peach Belt Conference Tournament

USC Aiken finished competing in this year's PBC Esports tournament. The competition was in Valorant and Rocket League. The competition, as always, was held in Florence Center.

Valorant Roster:

A Team: Jordan(Captain) Carsen, Caleb, Drace, Dawson. B Team: Isaiah, Jadon, Richy, Evan, and Brecken

Rocket League:

A Team: Christian (Captain) Caleb, Ben

B Team: Alexander, Mason, Daisy

The A team for Valorant went to the tournament in an underdog position. Before the tournament, the team had yet to win a game or scrimmage. The rules for the tournament were you have to lose twice to be eliminated. However, the team played as if they had infinite lives and were on the receiving end of a gentlemen's sweep.

USC Aiken played against Kennesaw State in their first match and lost 2-0. The next day the team was up against Lander University. That game was close at the beginning then USC Aiken let the momentum slip and lost 2-0. The winner of the Valorant PBC tournament for 2022 is Converse University who was up against Columbus State University and the score ended 3-2.

The first game was against Kennesaw State and the game was intense. This game drew in the most people during the tournament. The game was tied 2-2 and finally, USC Aiken hit the winning goal to advance into the next bracket.

The next day USC Aiken was up against Lander University. USC Aiken was swept with the score going Lander’s way 3-0.

Look out for Spring 2023 where Overwatch 2 and League of Legends will also take place at the Florence Center.
