APRIL FOOLS EDITION: Breaking News: Classes will be ending a week early to account for insufficient spring break days
As of March 31, 2021, the University of South Carolina - Aiken has announced that classes will be ending one week early to account for insufficient Spring Break days. The university has decided to take a stand in solidarity with students by granting a full Spring Break at the end of the semester to begin on Apr. 19, 2021. Officials say the decision was made after several faculty and staff raised their concerns for students’ mental well-being.
Someone important said, “While the university recognizes the global health crisis that is the coronavirus, it is obvious that these Spring Break days are not working for anyone. Students, faculty, and staff are at risk of overworking themselves, and the university must also recognize their desperate need for a break. We believe they are more than deserving of a real break, at least.”
