Reading Days for Fall 2021 fell on a weekend, contrasting previous mid-week Reading Days in Fall '20

Reading Days for Fall 2021 final exams fell on Saturday, Dec. 4 and Sunday, Dec. 5.

Having only a weekend for reading days is an adjustment compared to Fall 2020, as students had a Thursday and a Friday of no classes prior to exams the following week.

According to vice chancellor Dr. Daren Timmons, that change was due to the hybrid model of operation the university was following at the time due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

However, this semester, like fall semesters for the past ten years, the reading days fall on a weekend.

Final exams take place from Monday, Dec. 6 to Friday, Dec. 10. Students can find their date and time for final exams here: https://www.usca.edu/registrar/calendars/final-exam-schedule/final-exam-schedule-fall-2021/file. Final grades are due on Monday, Dec. 13 at noon.

The Spring reading day is set for Tuesday, April 26. Students can find the academic calendar for fall and spring here: https://www.usca.edu/registrar/calendars/academic-calendars.
