There have been 20 positive COVID-19 cases since Jan. 1, 2021. This only makes up 0.27% of the face-to-face student population. The university deems the campus risk as low.

The university does not know if hybrid classes provide a lower transmission rate because of the generally low number of reported infected.

The university cannot contact students who may have been exposed in a positive student’s class due to HPPA laws. The university maintains that masks are sufficient in preventing transmission of the virus, although the CDC suggests social distance as well. In some classes, socially distancing is either unenforced or impossible given the small classroom sizes, based on student reports.
