Dorm Dash: Apple cider recipe
Apple cider is a warm, smooth and spice filled drink that can warm anyone up. The best part about it? You can make it yourself!
What you’ll need:
10 large apples, cut up
½ orange
4 full cinnamon sticks
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. whole allspice
1 whole nutmeg
½ cup packed brown sugar
What to do:
In a large pot, add the apples, orage, spices, brown sugar and enough water to cover the fruits by 2 inches.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and summer for 2 hours (covered)
Remove orange
Mash the apples and return to simmer for 1 hour (uncovered)
Strain the liquid out, throw away the solid pieces
Serve the cider warm and enjoy!
