Campus housing event brings students together

Water Fest took place at Pacer Downs last Saturday and had a great turn out, with students from the freshman class to the seniors, who all came out to enjoy the pool, food, slushies, games, music, and waterslide.

From noon to 3 everyone was mingling and enjoying a refreshing break from the heat, as well as getting some competitive juices flowing with beach volleyball and spike ball. It was called “Water Fest,” but to me, it was just a big poolside cookout, with burgers and hot-dogs being served alongside cold drinks.  

The students seemed to enjoy going down the water slide and taking videos for their Snapchat or Instagram, some sliding all the way into the water and others stopping at the bottom before plunging in.

Overall the event itself was a good way to get people out of their rooms to hang out together.
